About f:sv

f:sv is a UK-based singer, songwriter, and producer whose artistry sits at the intersection of soul, experimentalism, and deeply personal storytelling. A scientist by profession and a multi-instrumentalist by heart, she approaches music as both a craft and an exploration—a precise yet soulful binding of faith, curiosity, and lived experience.

The Redemption Arc: frïzz: saved version

The name f:sv—often stylized with a specific umlaut as frïzz: saved version—marks a pivotal redemption arc in her life. After a period of profound depression caused her to lose touch with music, her lifelong first love, she found her way back to her craft following a transformative faith journey at the age of 19. Even during those years of silence, her creative pulse never truly stopped; she pivoted to acting and authored books as a way to process her world. Today, the name serves as a testament to that restoration—a "saved version" of herself that prioritizes presence and honesty over the pursuit of perfection. (Note: the umlaut is a stylized choice rather than a pronunciation guide).

A Nomadic Soul, Culturally British

While f:sv describes herself as "culturally British," her eclectic voice was shaped by a truly global upbringing. Before the age of seventeen, she had lived across France, Bahrain, Cameroon, and Dubai, absorbing the distinct sonic textures of each culture before settling in the UK. Proudly rooted in her Cameroonian and Gabonese heritage, her work naturally blends Western musical structures with Afrodiasporic rhythms. This international childhood fostered a creative sensibility that refuses to be boxed in, consistently returning to strong harmonic layers, catchy hooks, and syncopated beats.

A Digital Coming-of-Age

This evolution has been documented in real-time for over a decade. From her early, raw recordings as Anjastazia to her development through platforms like @fsvesque and @ifitwillblesshisheart, f:sv has given the internet front-row seats to her growth. Her digital footprint serves as a public creative diary, allowing listeners to witness the mastery of her craft alongside the unfolding of her worldview. This grassroots approach extends to her visuals; she is known for filming and self-edited intimate "micro-music videos" for nearly every song she creates.

Live Looping & The Green Project

A defining feature of f:sv’s live performance is her mastery of the Boss RC-505 MKII. By layering multi-octave vocals and rhythmic textures in real-time, she constructs immersive "galactic soul" symphonies piece-by-piece. This spirit of disciplined experimentation led to “The Green Project” in 2025—a year-long conceptual commitment where she wore green every day as a symbolic practice representing growth and renewal. This reflective season became the catalyst for her 2026 EP, which captures the emotional and spiritual insights of that journey. To celebrate the launch, f:sv is preparing an intimate listening event at the South Street Arts Centre in Reading.

From Refuge to Advocacy

Songwriting began as a refuge for f:sv during a secondary school experience marked by loneliness and bullying—challenges she later understood through the lens of a later autism diagnosis. Today, that yearning for connection drives her advocacy. She is a passionate voice for neurodiversity within faith communities through @autibeliciti and supports empowerment through education via @access2tutoring. She never aims to position herself as the distant expert, but rather as someone who loves life and uses expression as a bridge to reach others.

Recognition & Collaborative Credits

f:sv’s growth as an artist has been marked by consistent support across regional and national airwaves. Her collaborative work includes a feature on Aaron P'Reach’s track "Keep Pacing," which earned multiple plays on Premier Gospel. Her solo material has similarly found a home on the radio, receiving several spins on BBC Introducing in Berkshire and Oxfordshire. Additionally, her music has reached listeners in Gloucestershire, where she has received recurring support from DJ Mario on GFM, marking her steady ascent within the UK’s independent soul and gospel communities.
